You can either rename or remove your Kindle devices through the Amazon website or the mobile app.
Rename and Remove Kindle Devices via the Amazon Website
- Go to Amazon and click or hover over your Account & Lists button.
- From the dropdown menu, select Content & Devices. It might also be called Manage Your Content and Devices.
- A new page will open with various tabs. Go to Devices, where all the Amazon apps you've installed will appear.
- Click on the Kindle icon, and it'll bring up a full list of devices you used it on.
To rename a device, select Edit right next to its current title. Just fill in the Device Name field with whatever you want and click Save.
To remove a device from the list, select the Deregister button instead.
Rename and Remove Kindle Devices via the Amazon Mobile App
This method is only for renaming the particular device that contains the app.
- Launch the software and tap the More icon.
- When the menu opens, select Settings and then Device Name.
- Finally, erase the existing name, fill in the new one, and select Rename Device.
